OBG Electronic Filing has received reports of illegitimate phishing e-mails being sent to OBG users. The email is not from the State of Ohio and it should be deleted. Our security teams are investigating the source of the email.
You do not need to install or update any software in order to continue using the Ohio Business Gateway after June 1. OBG's Electronic Filing Services will continue to work with current versions of popular web browsers, which are obtained directly from the browser providers. Distributing software via links in email is not, and has never been, a standard business practice of the Ohio Business Gateway.
A sample copy of the email is shown below. Any email that looks similar to this should be treated the same and it should be deleted without any further action on your part.
