General Information

Ohio Means Jobs (OMJ) provides Ohio-based companies a secure web site that provides access to the largest pool of Ohio area résumés and job postings for FREE.

OMJ has partnered with the Ohio Business Gateway (OBG), Indeed.com and nationally known Monster.com to efficiently manage your registration account information and to give access to over 8 million Ohio area résumés and post job opportunities.

OMJ's partnership with OBG is to simplify the relationship between business and government. OMJ has also partnered with Monster.com to assist you in finding the qualified job candidates you need. Monster.com has the Web's largest resume database. In fact, Monster has more qualified candidates across location, occupation and skill level than any other career site. The depth of Monster's candidate pool means you can trust you'll find the skills and experience you need in candidates when you conduct a resume search.

Through OMJ's partnership with Indeed.com you will have the capability to have your job posting posted on hundreds other job boards for FREE. Rather than simply being a singular employment search engine, OMJ gives job seekers free access to employment opportunities from thousands of web sites, commercial job boards, and employers. By simply searching the Ohio Means Jobs database, users have access to thousands of job openings.

By partnering with the Ohio Business Gateway, Indeed.com and nationally known Monster.com, Ohio Means Jobs will allow you to file and pay business taxes and premiums over the internet as well as have access to over 8 million Ohio résumés.

How Does it Work?

As an Ohio business taxpayer, you will need to register with Ohio Means Jobs (OMJ) at www.ohiomeansjobs.com. Registration for OMJ is currently only available through the OMJ website. If you do not already have an OBG Username, the OMJ registration process will also include your request for an OBG Username.

If your company does not already have an account on OBG, then your OBG Username will be created at the end of the OMJ registration process and you will become your company's primary OBG user. Your OMJ registration request will be automatically approved as well. As the primary OBG user at your company, you will be asked to approve or reject any subsequent OMJ registrations from additional users at your company.

If your company already has an account on OBG, then at the conclusion of the OMJ registration process your company's current primary OBG user will be notified of your OMJ registration request. If you do not already have an OBG Username, your OBG Username will be created once your company's primary OBG user approves your OMJ registration request.

Access to résumés and job postings is currently available only through the OMJ website at www.ohiomeansjobs.com. Once you have completed the OMJ registration process, your OMJ registration request has been approved, and you have an OBG Username, you will be able to select 'Search Resume' on the OMJ website and be directed to our national partner Monster.com to begin accessing the talents and skills within millions of résumés belonging to Ohioans and those looking to re-locate to Ohio. In addition to this you will have the capability of posting your own job opportunities on the secured OMJ website.

If you are a non-Ohio based Employer you will need to register following the process above and then contact a local One-Stop office for access to résumés.

To locate a local One-Stop office click here for a listing by Ohio counties.

Before You Start

  • You will need your Federal Employer Identification Number (FEIN)
  • You will also need your Ohio State Tax Withholding ID to validate your company as an Ohio employer in order to obtain access to résumés

Confirmation and Registration

A confirmation message will be sent to you via e-mail detailing your registration status upon completion of your application. This e-mail will serve as an official acknowledgement that your application has been received by OBG.
