Users may review and edit their user profile in the Administration section of OBG. Profiles contain basic information about users, such as name, phone number, and email address. It is important that users keep their profile information up-to-date in case OBG or an Agency needs to contact the user. Additionally, email addresses must be current in order for a user to successfully use the self-help tools for Username and/or Password recovery.
The user profile provides a summary of the user's access level on OBG as defined by the business's OBG Administrator. If access to a specific OBG service is needed but has not been provided, the user should consult with their OBG Administrator. Non-administrator users can not change their own access level on OBG.
A user's ability to start, edit, or view transactions and services is dependent upon their assigned access level. If the user does not have the appropriate access level, transactions, services, features, and/or buttons will be grayed out.
Users have the ability to define up to eight favorite transactions and services that will appear at the top of their home page above the existing "Start a Service or Transaction" section. This provides users with a faster means of selecting frequently-accessed transactions. Use of the feature is optional.
To set up or edit favorites, users can either click the link from the home page or access the "User Preferences" section of the user's profile. Company administrators can also assist their company's users with this feature by choosing to "Edit" a user from the Administration page.
Users with access to multiple companies (e.g. service providers) can also utilize this new feature. The favorites are specific to each user, so as a user changes companies the home page will still display the same set of user favorites. As always, after changing companies, the user is acting on behalf of the company indicated at the top of the home page.
Favorites are still subject to the user's assigned access level for the company. If the user does not have the appropriate access level, any selected favorite transactions or services will be grayed out on the home page in the same way they are grayed out in the "Start a Service or Transaction" section.
