New businesses must be registered with an Ohio agency, board, or commission before attempting to file electronically using OBG Electronic Filing. Creating a business account and Username for OBG Electronic Filing is not the same as registering a business with the State of Ohio or any state agency, board, or commission.
OBG Electronic Filing generally provides businesses with access to electronic filing with partner agencies only after the business has already registered with the agencies. However, selected agency registrations can be completed online using OBG Electronic Filing once the business account and Username are set up. For information about creating an account to use OBG Electronic Filing, please see Creating an OBG Company Account in our help section. To see the agency registrations available on OBG, please see the list of Available Forms and Transactions.
Businesses may also need to obtain other licenses, permits, and registrations not offered through OBG Electronic Filing. Businesses may also need help with other topics relevant to starting a business. Please visit the Starting a Business section of the Ohio Business Gateway for more information.
