The Ohio Business Gateway (Business.Ohio.gov) is a service provided by the State of Ohio. The State recognizes the importance of privacy to our Web site visitors. Therefore, visitors should be aware of the following information. Public Records

Information and payments submitted through the OBG Electronic Filing application require authentication (logging in with a username and password), and are submitted through a secure Internet connection. Information submitted via OBG Electronic Filing is not necessarily a public record. Public disclosure of records associated with the use of OBG Electronic Filing is governed by statute and the privacy policy of the agency that holds administrative authority over the information and payments submitted.

Users of OBG Electronic Filing are expected to know and agree to the OBG Electronic Filing Terms of Service. Information submitted through other Ohio agency applications is governed by the particular privacy policy of each application.

Information submitted through this web site's feedback survey may be subject to disclosure pursuant to a public records request.

Information Collected

Personal information such as your name, address, telephone number or e-mail address may be requested of you from our Web site. This collection may occur through surveys, e-mails, personalization features and other voluntary personal information submissions such as registration forms, authentication procedures and the use of electronic payment functions.

OBG Electronic Filing uses temporary cookies to facilitate ongoing Internet interaction for the purpose of completing a transaction. The cookies only persist through the transaction and no permanent cookies are created. The Ohio Business Gateway does not use cookies other than those used in OBG Electronic Filing.

Security Measures

The Ohio Business Gateway will follow Ohio state laws that require the establishment of reasonable precautions to prevent personal information from unauthorized modification, destruction, use, or disclosure. We take very seriously the integrity of the information and systems that we maintain. Therefore, we have instituted security measures for all information systems under our control. These security measures are designed to identify attempts to tamper with this web site. Information collected through these security measures may be used in connection with a criminal prosecution or other legal proceedings.

Confidential Personal Information

Ohio Revised Code 1347.15 requires DAS to adopt administrative rules regulating access to the confidential personal information the agency keeps, whether electronically or on paper.

Access and Dispute of Information Rights:

Pursuant to Ohio Revised Code, sections 149.43, 1347.08 and 1347.09, users have rights to their information given to this site, in respect to inspecting, correcting and disputing. This is applicable to any information collected, used or maintained on the Business.Ohio.gov ("Ohio Business Gateway") website.

Accessibility Policy

Business.Ohio.gov complies with State of Ohio IT Policy - Web Site Accessibility, ITP-F.3 PDF, issued by the Ohio Office of Information Technology.
